Remove all whitespace
Hello World becomes HelloWorld: every space, tab and line break is deleted, while letters, digits and punctuation keep their order. Ideal for pasted keys, serial numbers and codes that must be one unbroken string. Free in your browser.

This remove-all-whitespace tool takes any non-empty text string and returns the same characters with every ordinary space, tab, and line break deleted. The engine is fully deterministic: it applies one fixed character-class deletion pass, never calls the network, never samples randomness, and never depends on the clock. Letters, digits, and punctuation stay exactly where they are relative to each other; only U+0020 space, tab, CR, and LF disappear.
What removing all whitespace really means
This tool deletes four characters wherever they appear: the ordinary space, the tab, the carriage return and the line feed. Everything else keeps its order, so Hello World becomes HelloWorld, and a block where a, b and c are separated by a line break and a tab becomes abc. It is not a trim, which only peels blank space off the ends, and it is not a collapse, which turns runs of spaces into one. It is the strongest of the three, because no gap survives. Non-breaking spaces and other unusual separators are left as they are.
When a compact string helps, and the usual slips
Use it when a value must be one continuous string: a key or serial number pasted with spaces, a code split across lines, or a checksum that fails because of a stray space. It also clears tabs and line breaks out of spreadsheet pastes before you store labels or product codes, and it helps fit sticker text on a single line. The usual slip is running it on normal prose, where every word then runs into the next. Another is expecting it to catch non-breaking spaces, which it keeps. An empty entry is refused, while a text made only of spaces comes back empty.
Whitespace removal in this capacity means deleting four specific characters wherever they appear: the ordinary space (Unicode U+0020), the horizontal tab, the carriage return, and the line feed. It is not a trim that only peels the ends, not a collapse that turns runs into a single space, and not a full Unicode White_Space scrub that would also remove non-breaking spaces or exotic separators.
Hello World becomes HelloWorld, a multi-line block a newline b tab c becomes abc, and a string that is only spaces becomes the empty string after a successful run because the input itself was non-empty. There is no option to keep newlines while stripping spaces, no mode that preserves indentation, and no silent coercion of null into an empty success.
Where compact whitespace-free text fits in study, publishing, and software
Students meet full whitespace removal when a coding exercise asks for a continuous token, when a puzzle packs letters without gaps, or when a data-entry lab must ignore accidental spaces before a checksum. Teachers can pre-generate answer keys that show the expected compact form without trusting opaque office macros that normalize line endings differently on each machine. Designers and producers use compact strings for serial-looking codes, sticker text that must fit a single line, and accessibility checks where a device cannot render soft wraps cleanly.
Pair it with uppercase, slug, or encode tools when you are building a small lab of free, deterministic text helpers for forms, CMS prep, and data hygiene.
What you can do with it
Compact codes and tokens
Strip spaces and line breaks from pasted keys, serials, and hash inputs so equality checks and checksums see one continuous string.
Form and spreadsheet cleanup
Remove accidental tabs and newlines from multi-cell pastes before storing labels, SKUs, or single-line configuration values.
FAQ
What does the remove-all-whitespace tool cost?
It is free in your browser on this page.
Which characters are removed?
Only ordinary space (U+0020), tab, carriage return, and line feed. Letters, digits, punctuation, and other Unicode spaces such as NBSP are left unchanged.
What happens if the text field is empty?
You must provide a non-empty string; blank form fields do not become silent successes.
Is the result the same every time?
Yes. The transform is a pure, deterministic character deletion with no network, randomness, or clock dependency, so identical input always yields identical output.
What happens if my text contains nothing but spaces?
The result is simply empty, and the run still counts as successful because something was entered. Only a completely empty entry is refused, so a blank form never passes as a clean result.

Technical notes
Empty input is rejected with a clear invalid_input error so a blank form field cannot become a silent empty success. Use it free in the browser for cleanup, homework, and data prep, or call the API at $0.002 per successful request when you need reproducible compact strings in CI, form pipelines, or teaching demos.
What whitespace removal means and what the response contains
The response is intentionally small and stable: text holds the compact result you will copy or store, original echoes the exact input so you can audit what was transformed, length reports the character count of the result, removed counts how many whitespace characters disappeared (original length minus result length), and method is the fixed tag remove_whitespace for logs and multi-tool pipelines. The engine either builds a complete compact string inside the supported length or rejects the request with invalid_input. Rejected cases include a missing text field, a null value, an empty string, objects and arrays that are not plain text, and any payload longer than the documented maximum character count.
How the text field is read and how the result stays reproducible
The value must be a non-empty string; finite numbers and bigints are stringified first so a bare product code typed as a number still processes cleanly after conversion to decimal digits. Outer spaces are not a special case; they are simply characters that match the deletion class, so leading and trailing blanks vanish along with interior ones. Conversion uses a single regular-expression replace that matches only the four characters listed above—no locale tables, no machine-learning model, and no date-dependent exceptions. The preferred field is text, but aliases input, string, value, content, and s are accepted so query strings, spreadsheets, and typed forms can reuse the same contract without renaming columns. Booleans, plain objects, and arrays are rejected with a clear message so a mistaken JSON body does not become the word true or an unhelpful object dump. Empty string is always invalid_input: the product promise is transform text, not invent a blank success from a missing field. Length is capped at one hundred thousand characters so a runaway paste cannot monopolize a Worker; longer payloads fail with an explicit limit message rather than a truncated silent cut. Pair the free browser run on this page with the priced API when you need the identical compact string inside an automated pipeline without shipping your own strip helpers.
Where compact whitespace-free text fits in study, publishing, and software
Support and operations teams paste noisy multi-line ticket fragments into a single token so dashboards and search indexes treat the payload as one unit. On this page the work runs entirely in your browser; through the API each successful conversion costs $0.002, failed validation is not charged, and nothing is stored after the response returns. That split—free interactive exploration and a priced, identical API—matches the rest of the KIT tier-A catalog and lets you move from a classroom demo to an automated pipeline without changing the string result.

Technical questions
Does this minify JSON or HTML?
No. It only deletes spaces, tabs, and line breaks from arbitrary text. Use a dedicated JSON minifier or HTML tool if you need structure-aware compression.
